The Long Table

The table may be in pieces - but the orchard remains.

The Long Table began as a simple idea: gather people around one table, share good food, pour good wine, and see what happened. Somewhere between the menus, the reservations, the weather calls, the permits, and the logistics, we found ourselves asking a question we never expected:

Did we just build another restaurant?

The answer was yes.

Only this one came with even more weather ...

And, as anyone who has ever tried to build anything on a small island knows, you can change the concept, move the location, rewrite the plan, and reinvent yourself entirely, but escaping scrutiny is a little harder.

The Long Table was meant to be what came after Feast.

Instead, it became part of the process of finally letting it go.

Turns out letting go of Feast took longer than closing the doors.

The Long Table was part of that story.

Whatever comes next will be part of a new one.

There are no rules to this thing.

Thank God.

I hope you live a life you’re proud of… and if not … I hope you have the courage to start again.
