I have to admit the Devil on my shoulder was trying to convince me to give just a 1 Star rating for this “Yurt”. But only because it’d be a selfish way to try in vain to keep this new listing as unknown as possible. Have you ever heard of “glamping? That’s “glamorous camping” and this place may well be “glurting”, or even “Luxurting”. It’s small, but well laid out. A very romantic and cozy place plus you’re literally perched over the Trincomali Channel with spectacular views. Another plus is the quality of furnishings and household items, with small touches like fresh flowers, a gift basket of local Salt Spring Island wine, goat cheese, and farm fresh eggs! We hope guests treat the property with the respect it deserves. This place is really spectacular, and honestly worth that nightly fee. And lastly - dogs are allowed? Seriously?! We may end up being regular visitors!

Wow! What can I say? This is BY FAR the best yurt I've ever seen. I've never been inclined to stay in a yurt because they all seem too bare bones for a glamping type experience for me. But I am pleased to say that this is the complete opposite of all of those that I've seen. This yurt comes with a FULLY equipped kitchen with a liquor bar, a king-sized wood-frame bed with a comfortable mattress/bedding and sunroof, a luxurious spa-like bathroom and an amazing view of the Trincomali Channel. The hosts were super attentive and quick to respond whenever I had questions. I can't recommend this hidden gem enough! I promise you that you won't regret your decision to stay here. A total 12/10 rating!

This place is so good we almost don’t want anyone else to find out about it. An absolute gem with everything you could possibly need - we couldn’t have asked for anything more! We arrived during the worst storm of the winter and found the yurt stocked with plenty of fire supplies, the sweetest welcome platter and even an emergency kit just in case. There’s really so much thought and efficiency packed into the space. The stocked bar is such a unique bonus! The view alone would be worth the trip - it feels like you’re on your own private island. We can’t wait to come back in the summer and experience it all in a whole new light.

Our family (4 + dog) stayed at the Seaview Cottage for 4 days and loved it there. The cottage is freshly renovated and very tastefully decorated with almost all kitchen appliances and utensils available. Such great hosts - super quick and responsive to messages and provided suggestions on what ended up being one of our favourite trails - the Dunbabin Trail. The cottage was very clean and there were sweet touches to welcome us upon arrival, including farm fresh eggs and a bottle of wine. Location is convenient and about 7min away from the Ganges Fulford Harbour area. Our absolute favourite part of this Airbnb though was the private dock by the sea. To reach the dock, you just have to cross the street and follow a short woodsy path which opens up to a breathtaking, open view of the water. The dock just had a cover installed so that it can be enjoyed in rainy weather too. There is also a fire pit on the dock which made sitting by the water at night magical. My dad left his sunglasses in the cottage after we checked out and the hosts reached out and was kind enough to offer to send it back to us. Would definitely recommend staying here to others!

We cannot say enough about our stay at this beautiful cottage. We absolutely loved it and had nothing short of a magical experience. My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon just after our elopement; the hosts made sure that our experience was incredibly special, ensuring an immaculate setting both inside and outside the cottage, with beautifully added details such as locally made soaps and shampoo and conditioner, and more. It was a completely customized to us, and there was a wonderful level of care and consideration put into our stay by the hosts which we are incredibly thankful for. Their farm fresh eggs were absolutely delicious and we felt incredibly spoiled finding them in the fridge! They recommended some great local spots (if you're cheese and wine fan) to visit on the Island. The cottage was incredibly clean and had lovely character (we loved having a fire at night in the wood stove after a long day, having everything we needed for a cozy fire there upon arrival!). The bed was very comfortable and we slept great through our whole stay. On our final evening we sat on the dock and watched a family of otters in the water and seals swim close by. The cottage is very conveniently located less than 10 minutes to town and a very short drive from the ferry. We loved taking the beautifully scenic drive into town and spying deer, local walkers and cyclists along the roadside. You get a wonderful sense of the Island and those that live there from the drives into town. We've already recommended this spot to so many of our friends and family if they are traveling to this area. It would be great for a small family of four, a couples weekend away, or a romantic retreat. Truly this spot is a magical gem and you'll have an incredible time.

Exceptional hosts. It was our first time staying on Salt Spring Island and the Hen and Hound cottage catered to our every need. The sheets were so soft, amazing blackout blinds, and soft towels. The cabin itself was meticulously cleaned and the amenities generously contributed made our groups experience one to remember. The island itself was beautiful, and the interactions we had were pleasant. The Hen and Hound farms private dock minutes from the front door, gave us the opportunity to kayak along the coastline. We personally enjoyed the cottage feel and homeliness that this Airbnb provided. A central location made communing to local breweries, cideries, and the lavender farm very quick. The Irish Wolfhounds, ”Hamish and Beowulf” were the sweetest pups. To conclude, the Hen and Hound Farm was an incredible residence for anyone looking to maximize their experience on the Gulf Islands. Highly recommend!!

The sea view cottage was absolutely perfect in so many ways. You could not beat the location or the perfect hosts. They gave us our own space and yet remained available if we had any questions or needed any help. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed for our week’s vacation. Having our own private beach was so special and presented us and our boys with spectacular views and and a secluded area on which to enjoy many hours of fun and relaxation. It was perfect in so many ways.

A wonderfully relaxing stay and one of the best sleeps I have had at an Airbnb! We loved all the thoughtful little touches inside the cottage and enjoyed our welcome gift in the fridge :) Hosts were really easy to communicate with. The cottage was sparkling clean and you could tell they took COVID precautions seriously which we greatly appreciated. Would come back for another stay without any hesitation!
